Update from Sofi's Mom!

I wanted to send a quick update 5 months after Sofi’s surgery. She’s a whole new dog. More like a puppy than ever before. She never stops running around and playing, which is so much easier for her now that the giant hernia is gone. We can not thank you enough for your help. It honestly would not have been possible without you and we are eternally grateful… as is Sofi. You guys gave her a life back and a bright future. Thank you again so much!!! 

 

Update as of 09/02/21

Sofi is one week post surgery.  The first couple of days were rough; she slept most of the time.  Sofi will now have a better quality of life thanks to all of you! She is doing so much better than we imagined this week; she's eating well and walking around a lot and going outside.  She is doing so well thanks to all of you who made her surgery possible and Dr. Dudley and her team at Cedar who helped Sofi with surgery.      Sofi, our Chihuahua Dachshund mix, was seen by her primary Veterinarian on July 19th  and was evaluated in preparation for surgery.  We remain hopeful but unfortunately Sofi’s herniaias too large to operate on at Derry Animal Hospital.  Sofi was referred to Cedar Surgical Veterinary Hospital in Concord, NH for a specialist evaluation on August 16th. Please continue to keep Sofi in your prayers for comfort and that the next appointment will be more successful so she can get the surgery she needs!  To date, we have raised the full amount for Sofi's life enhancing surgery because of the kindness and generosity of our shoppers and Facebook supporters!  Thank you all for your continued compassion and support!
